This is Collingham: Week 1

It's the second day of Discovery at Collingham!

Take a look at what some of our students produced yesterday:

Today, classes have been gearing up for their trip to the Science Museum tomorrow by looking at the planets, sound, shapes and space.

Suzanne's class learnt a song:

We’re flying from the sun to the stars
Through this solar system of ours

Mercury, venus, Earth and Mars
We’re flying from the sun to the stars
Mercury is hot and venus is bright
Earth is where we live and Mars is red at night

We’re flying from the sun to the stars
Through this solar system of ours

Jupiter, saturn, Uranus and Neptune
And last of all is little biddy Pluto

We’re flying from the sun to the stars
Through this solar system of ours

Mercury, venus, Earth and Mars
We’re flying from the sun to the stars
Mercury is hot and venus is bright
Earth is where we live and Mars is red at night

We’re flying from the sun to the stars
Through this solar system of ours
Jupiter, saturn, Uranus and Neptune
And last of all is little biddy Pluto

And Emilia and Sue's classes went on shape quests in the study room:

which produced very excited students (and teacher)...

and some very pleased students too!

Tomorrow students will go on their trip to the Science Museum (which we will of course document) where they will complete tasks set by their teacher and which will form the basis for the project they will complete by the end of the week.

Parents are welcome to come along too!
Just make sure you are here for 10am!

This is Collingham over and out.
