This weeks Presentations...
We had some absolutely fabulous performances on Friday, and would like to share the highlights with you...
All of the classes had an opportunity to present their work this week to parents and fellow students. Inspired by our trip to the Vicotria and Albert museum the classes have produced some really orginial work!
Here are the students ready to perform to the audience!
Lisa's class visited the fashion gallery as well as the theatre and performance exhibtion to gather some ideas for designing their own superheros...
Claire's class visited the funiture exhibtion at the V&A. When they came back to class they learnt lots of vocabulary describing different pieces of funtirue so that they could describe these beautiful pictures which they have painted.
They also created these spectactular wall hangings too...
Sarah's class have been learning about emotions and also about methods of transport! They had made masks with different emotions. They told us what emotion the mask showed. Then sung 'The wheels on the bus'...
The bus they made is brilliant!
Emilia's class were incredibly inventive this week! Having visited the fashion exhibtion at the v&A they have made these fantastic costumes! They are designed for the future, so the class told us about the special features of the outfits which will be particularly important in the future.
Tony's class visited the theatre and performance, particularly focusing on the Lion King. Here are a few of the wonderful masks they had made...
The Lion King is currently on in the West End, perhaps some of the students will be able to see it live having learnt so much about it!
Tania's group performed their special interpretation of Shakespeare's famous play Romeo and Juilet as well as building a model of the globe theatre in London...
They shared some interesting facts about the Globe theatre with us! And incoraged everyone to take a visit to the spectacular building themselves.
Nick's class have studied War Horse this week. War Horse is an extremely famous play which is also currently on at the west end...
They made these brilliant posters which explained a short version of War Horse to the audience. As well as telling us a little bit about the era in which war horse is set, and how horses where used in WWII.
Chloe's class performed a puppt show for the audience. They wrote the script, made the set and made all of the puppets themselves!
