This week Laura’s adult class have been working on short conversations, focusing on phrases like ‘pretty good’ and ‘a bit expensive’.
Vadim and Julia worked
together and wrote the following short text:
A: I want to buy some
shoes. Where is a good shop?
B: Well, Crodetz
&Jones is pretty good.
A: Really? Is it very
expensive?
B: No. It’s pretty reasonable.
A: Where’s the shop?
B: It’s ten minutes from here, near the cinema.
A: Thanks!
Rana wrote this
one by herself at home:
A: I want to buy a
cell phone. Where’s a good place to get one?
B: Well, Apple Store
is pretty good.
A: Really? Is it very
expensive?
B: No, it’s a bit expensive and it has a wide
selection and the staff are really helpful.
A: Is it far from
here?
B: No, it’s next to
the Nike Store. It’s about 10 minutes from here.
A: Great! I’ll check
it out. Thanks!
B: Sure thing!
