Costumes Fit for Kings and Queens at the Victoria and Albert Museum!

This week our students had the opportunity to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington to find inspiration for their projects!

This week Ella's class were focusing on costumes and at the museum they got to dress up in some very fancy clothes! This week they learned how to name different items of clothing, the names of colours and how to describe different shapes and patterns.

Here's Nicolo in some trousers that may be slightly too big for him

Rory's class visited the same exhibition. The theme for their class this week was theatre and performance.

For their project, Rory's class had to create their own festivals and explain why they created the festival, its venue and what the festival will entail.

All of our students put lots of effort into their projects and the museum trips are a great way for the students to learn more visually. The museums provide the students with the opportunity to see elements of the topics and themes that they are learning in real life contexts. We hope that the students continue to enjoy the museum trips and use them as an opportunity to extend their vocabulary and consolidate their learning!
